Kids – Website

The main purpose of this project was to create a new web concept for a company that offers creative workshops for children. The children can paint and draw, cut and glue different materials, play with modelling clay, build a car or design their own dollhouse. They can also relax and play in thematic rooms that are specially designed to inspire the kids.

This was a presentation website of the activities the children can have, the main rooms that are available, the opening hours, prices and news about new workshops and events.

Methods used 

In order to complete the project I structured the process in 3 phrases:

1. Communication process:

Communication brief and persona

2. Design process:

Creating a mood board, wireframes and prototype to make sure I have a good visual idea of how the end result of the website should look like. These decisions will be base on the C.R.A.P. rules as a guide in making useful design decisions.

3.Web development process:

Based on the structure of the prototype above, I coded the website. When building the responsive website I used HTML and CSS. This was combined with the use of the frontend framework Bootstrap. I’ve also included PHP code so it can be a dynamic website. I focused on adding interaction on the website such as animation effects to some elements – hover effect, fade slide down or pop in, smooth scrolling.
