Cooling Plant – UI/UX Prototype
A school assignment to create a working prototype in Adobe XD.
Purpose of the assignment
The company “X” needs a mobile Cooling Plant app that will bring value to its employees, by providing quick access to control and maintain the cement present in the 4 tanks.

What involves the cement cooling process?
- Each tank can store 1350 tons of cement – therefore there is the need for a view capacity feature
- During the processing of concrete (fresh concrete), large amounts of heat are released during the hardening process of this building material – therefore the app needs to provide a view current temperature feature
- Depending on the weather, the concrete temperature must be lowered by 1 to 20 °C (Average: 5 °C) – therefore it is needed to control the temperature feature
- A special system is installed in front of the riser to the cement tanks, which enables the mixing of hot and cold cement -therefore the app needs to provide the possibility to initiate a transfer of material between tanks.
